Method of Election

One ongoing issue in our Federation is the balance between the Commonwealth and the States and and their respective responsibilities.

The egalitarian model works within this federal framework. The Commonwealth Constitution would stipulate some minimal requirements for the election process, while the details for nomination and the campaigning are left to the states and territories to adjust as they see fit. Naturally there should be a committee that provides advice to the states in how to set up the process for nomination and campaigning. Some of the funding needs to be negotiated as well.
