A uranium mine is good news for jobs | theage.com.au.

While the rest of the world is moving to renewable technologies, this article expresses the kind of  mentality of Australian decision makers. It’s worth a read just to sample the manic language used.

John Howard tried to use the term ‘energy superpower’ and I don’t think he used it that often.  Another thing to note is that this article is written by someone from the union movement. The businesses in the resource sector would have similar views as well.

Uranium as a “minimal pollution” source of energy – get real:

At Olympic Dam we have the largest uranium resource in the world. Policymakers are increasingly looking to this energy source both because of its minimal pollution…

In fact, some advisers believe that uranium stocks offer the best long-term opportunities for investors out of all the energy stocks for its minimal pollution output and lowest strategic supply profile…

The article summary on the webpage reads: “Australia has the resources to become a major energy player.” Is that statement supposed to be a pun, straight-faced flattery or a mix of meaningless clichés?
